To the locals, this is known as Hendry Beach because of the restaurant seen here. Technically this is known as Arroyo Burro Beach. Access to the beach is restricted on either side by some hills. This must have been an old stream bed. Today there is still some water trickling into a pond near the surf. Jack and I went in here. This turned out to be a disastrous dive as we never got past the area where the wave action would kick up the sand and put visibility at near zero. Looking at the linked map, this cloudy area can be seen offshore. We ended up calling the dive fairly early.
