Thresher Shark

The existence of these pictures is a small miracle in my eyes. I had to get up at 4:30 am for the 30 min boat ride to Monad shoals, near Malapascua islands. Only in the early morning hours do these large majestic sharks show up there in diveable depths.
Then, in order not to scare the sharks away, photographers are urged not to use strobes. Thus, these pix were taken in 25 m, in the early morning, with ambient light. Praised be the performance of the Canon EOS 5D II with high ISO settings (2000). I cleaned the picture up a bit with the Gimp wavelet plugin.
