This is a popular training site with a nice flat sandy bottom. Still there is plenty of life here, including cuttlefish, octopus, stargazers, weedy seadragons, big-belly seahorse, porcupine fish, verco's nudibranch, goat fish, wrasee, doughboy scallops, seastars, leatherjackets, morwong, globefish, scalyfin, hulafish, magpie perch, cling fish.

The pylons of the pier are covered in colourful sponges.

Located in the center of Portsea, at the end of the Mornington Peninsula on the inside of the bay, protected from the open waters.
