The unassuming Fish Rock hides a diver's paradise. This site is often quoted as being in Australia's top 10 and attracts divers from around the world.

This cave has dark sections so requires use of a light.

When weather permits, access the cave via the deep entrance, otherwise use the shallow entrance.

Under normal conditions descend to the cave entrance at around 24m on the south east side of the rock. The cave travels for around 15m before rising vertically via one of two dark chimneys. A horizontal chamber follows which contains two bubble pools at around 8m, so you can stop for a quick chat! Exit this section into an area known as the aquarium, taking care as there can be very strong currents at the exit. The entire cave runs for around 125m.

If conditions are less than favourable, be sure to seek local expertise when planning to dive this site.

The entire cave is filled with various types of marine life, as are the surrounding waters. Expect to see grey nurse sharks, batfish, turtles, wobbegongs, lionfish, groper, bullseyes, crayfish, black cod, spanish dancers, cowries, sea cucumbers.
