The Akka is a 133m/440ft cargo ship that was built in Gothenburg, Sweden in July 1942.

She sank at this location after her steering failed. The engines were cut, but momentum carried her onto the Ganton Rocks in the Firth of Clyde, ripping the hull open. She keeled over and sank within four minutes. Three crew sank with her, three died later, and 27 survived.

Diving depth ranges from 16m/50ft to 24m/80ft. Visibility can be poor, so a good light is recommended. There cargo holds are devoid of interesting items as she was carrying iron ore at the time.

Some penetration is possible.
