About 50m/150ft off the shore from the El Cid La Ceiba lies the wreck of an old plane.

As of 2012, the plane is quite broken up, but large sections of the plane are still clearly identifiable.

A large iron anchor sits on the shore side of the plane, and is worth a look.

The area surrounding the plane is mostly sandy, with some rocks protruding through in places making home to marine life.

Maximum depth is around 10m/30ft, so this site makes a great check out dive, night dive, or training site. The water can be very warm, so this site offers a long, easy dive.

Sponges, anenomes, box fish, barracuda, red squirrelfish, sea urchin, butterfly fish.
