First Dive Just the Two of Us!

XS wetsuit, XS pearl bc, suit slightly small and too cold, BC no trim pockets, slightly heavy. Entered west end of beach late, already at slack tide because of no parking. Need to arrive 2hrs+ before tide. Headed west under bridge pylons until vis & current got worse 20 mins after slack tide. Then headed to SW corner of swim area to see shopping carts & boat- supposedly a good spot to see sea horses, but none around. Cold and went in then. Dad didn't last long snorkeling with no wetsuit. Lots of giant starfish, boxfish, a bright spotted eel, rainbow parrot fish, lots of angel fish and other fish. Clams, tiny crabs, purple sea urchins, conch shells, needle fish and barracuda! Surgeonfish too. This was our first time ever diving just the 2 of us without a more experienced diver as leader! It was great even though I got tangled in the dive flag line a couple times. Great dive and lots to see! Next time with a thicker wetsuit and getting in earlier we could easily get 2 hours on 1 tank!
