Burying Ryan's Treasure NEXT DIVE

Scary Descent

barracudas tiny sea cucumber port side crane buoy w/Chris doing AOW Not a comfortable dive. Extremely rough on surface, so we got thrown around on entry and fighting current. My spare secondary came unclipped and was hitting me & when I tried to reattach I accidentally discharged my weights on one side (integrated BC). I didn't drop them, but Ryan had to help me clip them back in. By then we had to swim hard to fight the current and catch up to the guide. My heart started pounding and I felt like I couldn't breath and I had to talk myself down from panicking. I burned through a lot of air and had trouble enjoying the rest of the dive.
